We live in a time of increasing social isolation. Lack of community, isolation and loneliness are not good for our health. In the US, a study showed that loneliness is as bad for our health as 15 cigarettes per day. Our sharing circle is a safe, confidential space. We can each share what is alive in us and deeply listen to each other. Listening to others honesty can be as healing as sharing our own concerns.
When we resist our own emotions and knowing we create tension within our bodies. It takes practice to regain trust and connection to our inner world, but this is a path to healing our bodies and our minds. You many have experiences where you have felt the need to put your own needs and feelings aside. This can become habitual and over time we lose connection. Our feelings and bodies have an innate wisdom for us, if we can remember to listen to this whisper of guidance from within. A group circle is a deeply enriching way to explore this. Hearing others’ sharing helps us to not feel so alone or ‘different’.
Our sharing circle is a structured space to share freely and confidentiality whatever you need to talk about. We follow very clear guidelines about sharing to ensure a safe, non-judgmental and welcoming space for everyone.
Each circle is for up to 6 people and takes place online. It lasts for 1 hour and fees are kept to a minimum to cover basic costs. Everyone in the group is invited to share, but you are not obliged to say anything.
This circle is specifically for people who have IBS. Living with these chronic symptoms can create distress and emotions. So it can be helpful to share in a safe community with others who get it.
